In 2006, the ATR KimEng Equity Opportunity Fund was one of the best performing equity mutual funds in the country. The fund posted a return for that year of 45.52%, beating the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) by 323 basis points.
The Funds assets are allocated in Conglomerates, Energy and Utilities, Telecom, Banking, Food and Beverage/Retail, Property, Ports/Transportation, and Mining.
Investment Objective: Established in 2004, this mutual fund is designed to seek absolute return through long-term capital appreciation through investment in listed and non-listed equity securities of Philippine and non-Philippine companies. Investment in securities abroad shall be limited to 20% of the Fund’s net asset value.
